Endless Adventures
Skiing and Snowboarding are go-to winter activities in the Vail Valley; however, locals know the list of winter adventures is endless. Powdered snow, coupled with year-round sun, makes for the perfect winter day, every day. Enjoy snowshoeing, hiking, trail running, cross-country skiing, backcountry skiing, sledding, fat biking, ice fishing, and more.
We are lucky enough to have Sylvan Lake State Park as part of our playground. The area becomes blanketed in a sea of white during the winter, creating a winter wonderland with amazing views of the Sawatch Range, aspen groves, and pine forests. Many residents flock to the area on snowmobiles during the holiday season, searching for their perfect Christmas tree.
Popular trails in the surrounding White River National Forest are West Brush Creek Trail, Sneve Gulch, McKenzie Gulch, Nolan Lake, Lake Charles, and Ironedge.
A scenic 30 min drive through Glenwood canyon will lead you to Glenwood Springs, a town famous for its multiple natural hot springs. Soaking in the 15 minerals found in the water has many health and wellness benefits, including relieving sore muscles, aches, and pains. Native Americans even called it “Yampah,” which means Big Medicine. Living in the Vail Valley is a year-round experience of unmatched beauty and adventure.
